Understanding metrics
Every number in the price checker tells you something specific. Here's what to look at — and what to ignore.
Domain Rating
Ahrefs' measure of a site's backlink profile on a 0–100 scale. The most widely used metric for evaluating guest post value. Higher DR = more link equity, but also higher cost.
Domain Authority
Moz's equivalent to DR. Scores 0–100. DA and DR often diverge — a site can have DR 40 and DA 25. Use both as signals, not absolutes.
Spam Score
Moz's indicator of how closely a site resembles known spam domains. Below 10% is healthy. 30%+ is a red flag. Never buy a link above 40%.
Organic Traffic
Estimated monthly organic visitors from Ahrefs or Semrush. Traffic often matters more than DR — a DR 35 site with 50K visitors can outperform a DR 55 site with 200.
Referring Domains
Unique root domains linking to a site. A more reliable signal than raw backlink count, which can be inflated by link farms.
Topic Relevance
A contextually relevant link from DR 30 in your niche beats an off-topic DR 60. Always filter by niche before filtering by DR or price.
Guide
The same website can be listed on Adsy at $45, on Collaborator.pro at $78, and on Serpzilla at $22 — for what is effectively the same guest post placement. Marketplaces set their own prices, take their own margins, and update their catalogs on different schedules. Without a backlink price checker, you're buying blind.

Real organic traffic
DR doesn't tell you if people visit the site. Sort by traffic and aim for at least 1,000 monthly visitors.
Spam score
Keep it under 15%. Sites above 30% can actively hurt rankings. WeblinkBuzz shows Moz spam score on every listing.
